Niagara Falls and Vancouver Island -  PC Party interim leader former MP Joe Hueglin and spokesperson Brian Marlatt on behalf of PC Party National Council made the following statement tonight following the tragedy in the Quebec City suburb of Ste Foy where Canadians of Muslim faith have been killed and injured in a horrifying act of violence.

"The Progressive Canadian Party and all Canadians are shocked and dismayed by these events, the terrible acts of violence, death and injury in Quebec City tonight.  We join with our fellow Canadians of all faiths and beliefs in mourning the loss to us all caused by these acts of violence against the people of Canada and against the spirit of shared good will which identify us and identify what it means to be Canadian."
